An Iranian director, born on April 18, 1973, in Najafabad. He began directing in 1988, after which he directed many documentaries and fiction films. He is also a producer, screenwriter, consultant, and editor. His first film Farewell Baghdad was selected to enter the 83rd Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film; moreover, he won several awards, including Best Film Award in Baghdad Film Festival in 2010.
