An Iranian director, screenwriter, and actor, born in 1952 in Qazvin, Iran. He began his artistic career by acting in the movie Tobeh Nosuh (1982), then he focused his efforts on directing. He directed historical and religious TV series such as Ayyub e Payambar and Men of Anjolos. However, his most prominent work is the series Prophet Joseph, which enjoyed wide and unparalleled popularity in Iran as well as the Arab and Islamic countries. As a screenwriter, he is known for Prophet Joseph (2008) and Ayyub e Payambar (1993). His works as an actor include The Inverted World (1998) and Human and Weapon (1989), in which he also served as a producer.
