Kirsten Dunst is an American actress, born in New Jersey, USA on April 30, 1982. She also holds German citizenship, as her father is German. At the early age of 3, she started her career by appearing in commercials and modeling. Her debut was at a very early age too, as she appeared in Oedipus Wrecks at the age of 6, however, her role was uncredited. Kirsten’s first film credit was her appearance in The Bonfire of the Vanities. When she was cast in Interview with the Vampire: Vampire Chronicles alongside Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, she was critically acclaimed and became famous. The movie won her a Golden Globe nomination, the MTV Award for Best Breakthrough Performance, and the Saturn Award for Best Young Actress. Throughout the 1990s, she made numerous high-profile movies such as Jumanji and Small Soldiers. The American won the Best Actress Award at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival for her astonishing performance in Melancholia.
