American actor Kim Basinger was born in Athens, Georgia in 1953. Basinger began her career as a fashion model before moving to L.A. to pursue acting. She appeared in several television shows and then starred in the 1981 film “Hard Country.” Basinger continued to star in numerous films and television series, including: “Batman” (1989), “My Girl” (1991), “The Real McCoy” (1993), “L.A. Confidential” (1997), “8 Mile” (2002) and “Grudge Match” (2013). Throughout her career, Basing has been nominated for various acting awards, and she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in “L.A. Confidential.”
