An American screenwriter, author, composer, songwriter, and director. He was educated at Yale University and has a BA in Psychology and Sociology. He was involved in theater activities during his college days. He joined the American Association of Composers, Writers, and Authors in 1961. Among his most prominent works are: Mission: Impossible series and Mannix. He died in 1978 in a plane crash that he was piloting himself at the age of 47.
