Mahmoud Bakr was a former Egyptian footballer and a football commentator from Alexandria. He played for the Alexandrian Olympic Club and the national team in the sixties and retired from football due to the 1967 Setback. He joined the Military Academy, graduated as an officer in the Egyptian Army, and reached the rank of brigadier general. He held several administrative positions at the Olympic Club until he became its president. Later on, he worked as a football commentator on the Egyptian Television Network and private satellite channels. He appeared in the films The International, and Captain of Egypt.
