His first feature film was Zero Effect (1998) . The following year, he directed the pilot episode of the television series « Freaks and Geeks», which he also produced. Since then he has worked between films and television, in directing, writing and production. From his films: "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" and "Bad Teacher." Kasdan is also an executive producer for ABC's "Fresh Off the Boat" and "speechless".
