His most notable works include Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (2007), Jumanji: The Next Level (2019), Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017), and Zero Effect (1998).

Jake Kasdan is a filmmaker and television director and writer,born on October 28, 1974 in Detroit, Michigan. He's the son of writer Meg (née Goldman), and writer-director Lawrence Kasdan. His first feature film was Zero Effect (1998) . The following year, he directed the pilot episode of the television series « Freaks and Geeks», which he also produced. Since then he has worked between films and television, in directing, writing and production. From his films: "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" and "Bad Teacher." Kasdan is also an executive producer for ABC's "Fresh Off the Boat" and "speechless".
