Indian actress who was born in 1982 in Jamshedpur to Dr. Ashok Chopra. She spent her childhood in Bareilly Rai, Uttar Pradesh as well as in Lucknow, where she attended Martinir Girls Boarding School. She later moved to the United States, where she studied at Newton North High...Read more School. After completing 10th grade in John F. Kennedy Elementary School, she decided to become a software engineer or forensic psychiatrist. By 2000, she returned to India and enrolled at Jai Hind and Basant Singh College in Churchgate, Bombay but had to drop out suddenly after She was crowned Miss India. She was later crowned Miss World in the same year, which allowed her to debut her artistic career with the movie Thamizhan (2002). She became known for Krrish (2006).
