American screenwriter and director born on June 9, 1963 in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. He studied film in UCLA. He wrote screenplays for many blockbuster films such as Jurassic Park (1993), Mission Impossible (1996), Spider-Man (2002), and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008). He also directed a few films such as The Trigger Effect (1996), Stir of Echoes (1999), and Secret Window (2004).
