American actress born on 3 February 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She received her bachelor's degree in acting from Bard College. She began her career on stage with Boston Theater Company. She won the 1970 Tony award for her role in "Butterflies Are Free". Her notable works include Meet the Parents (2000), The Last Kiss (2006), and Paul (2011). She was married to director and producer Bruce Paltrow till his death in 2002, and they have 2 children: Gwyneth Paltrow and Jake Paltrow.
