He is an American writer, director, and producer, who was born as Gregory G. Berlanti on May 24, 1972 in Suffern, New York. He was raised in Rye, New York. He attended Rye High School and Northwestern University, where he studied playwriting. He is known for Green Lantern (2011), Arrow (2012), The Flash (2014), and Love, Simon (2018).
