Shane Salerno is an American producer and screenwriter, and undoubtedly a wunderkind on the Hollywood screenwriting scene. He wrote, directed and produced his first film at 17, "Sundown: The Future of Children and Drugs," which debuted on Larry King Live in 1991, and went on to gain massive exposure on talk shows and news programs. The documentary earned a young Salerno honors in both houses of Congress. At a very young age, this landed him an apprenticeship on "NYPD Blue" as a writer-director. Salerno's career skyrocketed afterwards: he was co-writer and executive producer on Oliver Stone's "Savages." He co-wrote "Armageddon" (1998) and "Shaft" (2000), two iconic blockbusters.
