A Canadian actor, writer, and producer, born in Ontario, Canada to a father of English-Scottish origins and a mother of French Canadian origins. He joined Carleton University in 1969, where he studied criminology and sociology, then moved on to acting and writing. Some of his credits are Ghostbusters (1984), The Blues Brothers (1980), and White Coats (2004).
