  • Daniel John "D. J." Caruso, Jr. (born on 17 January 1965 in Norwalk, Connecticut, USA) is an American director and producer. Caruso studied at Pepperdine University in Malibu,...Read more California. He interned at Disney Studios in the Product Placement Department. Then he was mentored by John Badham to be a second-unit director. His first directorial debut was made in the 1997 film "Cyclops, Baby". His feature film "The Salton Sea" starred Val Kilmer in 2002. He directed "Taking Lives" starring Angelina Jolie in 2004. In 2007, Caruso was asked by Steven Spielberg to direct "Disturbia" which turned into a big film hit. He also directed "Eagle Eye" in 2008 and "I Am Number Four" in 2011.
