He is an American actor and writer, born on May 12, 1950 in Elgin, Illinois. He started acting in the series The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1973). He is known for his dual role in Tron (1982) and its sequel TRON: Legacy (2010), and the TV series Babylon 5 (1994-1998).
