An American film director, producer, and screenwriter, who was born on the 18th of December 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He began his directing career with the short film The Last Gun (1959). He is best known for his science fiction films, such as E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jurassic Park, and Minority Report. He presented dramatic works, such as Empire of the Sun, Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, and Bridge of Spies. He won numerous awards, including three Academy Awards.
