A British novelist, born on March 11, 1952 in Cambridge. His most famous work is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which began as a radio series and later evolved into a five-part novel series. His works include: Starship Titanic, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. He died on May 11, 2001 in Santa Barbara.
