He is a graduate of the High Cinema Institute, Department of Directing, Class of 2007. He made a number of short and documentary films, such as Knocking on the Doors (2011). He received the Jury Prize for the film The Account at the 2012 Gulf Festival. He also received the Sawiris Best Scriptwriting Prize, for the script of the film The Passers-by. He co-wrote the film Sheikh Jackson.
