American director, screenwriter and producer. He was born on May 1, 1969 in Houston, Texas. He began his career by writing and directing the short film Bottle Rocket in 1994. He's known for Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009), Moonrise Kingdom (2012) and The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014). He has been nominated for 7 Academy Awards .
