She is known for The Woman in Black (2012), The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death (2014), and The Small Hand (Ghost Story) (2019). She married Shakespeare scholar Stanley Wells, and has 2 daughters. Hill founded her own publishing company, Long Barn Books.
