An American writer, producer, and director of Polish origin, born in New York, USA. His father was a used car dealer, so his interest in cars developed within the family business before he decided to move to California and live with one of his uncles. He also worked in the field of buying and selling cars before he took up writing. He wrote, directed and produced Gone in 60 Seconds (1974). He died on August 20, 1989.
