Francis Lawrence is an Austrian-born American director, born on March 26, 1971 in Vienna, Austria, but he moved to Los Angeles with his parents when he was 3 years old. He had his bachelor's degree in film production at Loyola Marymount University Film School. Lawrence turned to directing music videos for many artists, including Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson and Britney Spears. His feature directorial debut was Constantine (2005). He is also known for I am Legend (2007), the Hunger Games film series and Red Sparrow (2018).
