Mervat Zakaria (a.k.a. Mervat Afifi) first appeared in the mid-80s in a single production, which is the series Mr. Abo El-Ela El-Beshry's Journey (1985). She was killed in the tragic EgyptAir plane crash that occurred on May 19, 2016.
