A British author born on January 25, 1882 in Kensington, London, England, United Kingdom. She studied at King's College London. Her works include Orlando, To the Lighthouse, The Mysterious Case of Ms. V, and Mrs Dalloway. She died on March 28, 1941 in Lewis, Sussex, England, where she put on her overcoat, filled it with stones, and drowned herself in the River Ouse near her home. Her body was found on April 18, 1941, and her husband buried her remains under a flag at Monks House Garden in Rodmill Sussex.
