A British film director, writer, and producer born on December 5, 1969 in Glasgow-Strathclyde, Scotland, United Kingdom. She graduated from the National School of Film and Television in the United Kingdom in 1995. She began her directing career in 1996 with the short film, Small Deaths. Her works include Ratcatcher, Morvern Callar, We Need to Talk About Kevin, and You Were Never Really Here.
