He was nominated for an Oscar twice in 1980 for All That Jazz in the categories of Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay. His works include: The Philco Television Playhouse, Goodyear Playhouse and The Lost Man. He died on November 20, 1978 in New York City, USA.
