Christopher McQuarrie is an American screenwriter and director, born in 1968. He is best known for his script for The Usual Suspects, which won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay in 1996. McQuarrie wrote several well-known films such as Valkyrie and The Way of the Gun, which he also directed. His cinematic credits include Jack Reacher, which starred Tom Cruise.
