Josh Hutcherson is an American film and television actor best known for playing Peeta in the dystopian teen franchise "The Hunger Games" opposite Jennifer Lawrence. Josh was born in Kentucky in 1992 and at age four became sure he wanted to act professionally. His whole family moved to Los Angeles when he was nine to help him realize his acting dreams. He quickly landed a few TV roles on shows like "House Blend" and "ER." Josh made his film debut in the Oscar-nominated "American Splendor" (2003), which led to him snagging bigger roles in films alongside Will Ferrell in "Kicking & Screaming" (2005) and Dax Shepherd and Kristen Stewart in "Zathura" (2005) for which he won a Young Artist Award for "Leading Young Actor." Hutcherson got his breakthrough role in the "Bridge to Terabithia" (2007) based on the beloved children's novel. Hutcherson played the son of Julianne Moore and Annette Bening in the critically acclaimed "The Kids Are All Right" (2010) about a family with lesbian parents coming to terms with their sperm donor being part of their lives 15 years later. The film was nominated for four Oscars. Hutcherson cemented his place in the pantheon of Hollywood's up-and-coming talents when he was cast in the beloved Peeta in the immensely popular dystopian trilogy "The Hunger Games," alongside breakout star Jennifer Lawrence.
