A British actor, born in Belgravia, London on May 27, 1922, and died in Chelsea, London on June 7, 2015 of heart failure. Christopher Lee has received the American Academy Award and the British BAFTA Award, in addition to many awards and honors. Christopher Lee was married to Birgit "Gitte" Krøncke Lee from 1961 until his death in 2015, and they had a daughter. Among Christopher Lee's most important films are The Curse of Frankenstein (1957), The Wicker Man (1973), and the Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001-2003).
