Malcolm McDowell is a British actor from Leeds. His father was an alcoholic who ran a pub that eventually went bankrupt. "Time After Time" (1979) was his first American film. McDowell struggled with alcohol and cocaine addictions throughout the 1980s, and his work suffered from it. His career picked up in the 1990s, with more villainous roles in "Star Trek: Generations" (1994) and a number of other films. He had a recurring role on the television series "Entourage" and "Heroes." He also acted in the Oscar winner for Best Picture "The Artist" (2011). The British veteran, who now resides in Los Angeles, has acted in over 100 films.
