James Wan is an Australian writer, director and producer who was born in Malaysia. Wan attended the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology along with his close friend Leigh Whannell. His breakthrough came after he wrote and directed the famous horror movie, Saw, in 2004, followed by several other movies. Some of his most notable works are: Insidious: Chapter 2, and Annabelle.
