He was assigned as a professor of criticism, literary studies, and Arabic language at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts and became an assistant professor at the College of Basic Education. He headed the Arabic language department there for two years. He was a member of the Popular Theater Troupe, the Journalists Association, the Writers Association, the Kuwaiti Society for Specialized Studies and Research, and the Writers Union in the United Arab Emirates. He headed the cultural section of Sawt Al Khaleej magazine, Al Raed magazine, and Al Fajr Al Jadeed newspaper. He wrote short stories and theatrical texts, such as the two plays Rape of Amber, and The Authority. He wrote several literary and critical books, including theatrical literature in Kuwait, theatrical literature in the Gulf Arab states, social theater with political advocacy, and other publications. He performed the play, The Cloudy Sky in 1985. He died on May 22, 2003.
