An Italian director, born in Piacenza on November 9, 1939. He studied philosophy at the Catholic University of Milan, then joined the Experimental Center for Cinema in Rome to study acting, but switched to directing. His notable work includes The Eyes, the Mouth (1982), Sweet Dreams (2016), and The Traitor (2019).
