American illustrator, writer and producer, born on November 12, 1957 in Louisiana, USA. He studied film in Dallas, Texas, and wrote several children's books. He won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film for The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore (2011). Among his works are Robots (2005), and Epic (2013).
