An Egyptian singer and poet who was born on May 14, 1926. He debuted his artistic career in 1980 and worked with the musician Abdel Halim Nuwayra. He presented more than 15 songs in the art of Muwashahat (long Arabic poems). He is the brother of sports critic Najib Al-Mistakawi....Read more He graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Chemistry and worked in the Ministry of Agriculture until he retired. He learned classical music from Safar Ali and specialized in composing Muwashahat which he revived in the late seventies. He passed away on July 1, 1994.
