A Brazilian director, writer and actor, born in Rio de Janeiro, on June 6, 1957. His most notable films include India, Daughter of the Sun (1982), The King of Rio (1985), Luzia (1988), and Lula, Son of Brazil (2009). Fábio Barreto was involved in a tragic car accident on December 19, 2009. He had been in a coma since the accident, and eventually died on November 20, 2019.
