She is an American comedian and actress, born on July 26, 1984 in Wilmington, and graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2006, had several internships and worked for NBC. She began performing stand-up comedies at the Laugh Factory comedy club. She also starred in the internet show The Jeannie Tate Show, and appeared in the TV series Mayne Street. She made her debut through playing the character of Daisy in Funny People (2009), and has appeared in several comedies, including the movies Mystrey Team (2009), and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), in addition to the sitcom Parks and Recreation, and the science fiction comedy web series CollegeHumor. In 2010, she participated in the play A Night of 140 Tweets: A Celebrity Tweet-A-Thon for Haiti, on the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater In Los Angeles. Plaza also made several guest appearances on the TV series Portlandia.
