He was an Irish actor, born July 11, 1929 in Dublin, Ireland. He appeared in many film and television productions throughout his more than 50 year illustrious career. He is known for Waking Ned Devine (1998), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), and Stardust (2007). He was married to actress Laurie Morton and had 2 children. He was awarded the Irish Film & Television Academy's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. He passed away on February 12, 2012.
