An American film producer, screenwriter, and director, born in Long Beach, Long Island, New York, USA. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science and received an honorary Doctor of Letters from Union College in 1996. His credits include Field of Dreams (1989), Sneakers (1992) and The Sum of All Fears (2002).
