An Italian actress, born in Rome, Lazio, Italy to actors Vittorio Mezzogiorno and Cecilia Sacchi. She resided in Paris for two years, where she joined the workshop of theater director Peter Brook. Some of her credits include Don't Tell (2005) and Love in the Time of Cholera (2007). She received the David di Donatello Award for Best Actress in 2003. She was also a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010.
