An American comedian and actor, born on January 18, 1892, in Harlem, Georgia, USA. He was one half of the famous double act Laurel & Hardy, alongside his comedy partner Stan Laurel. His most notable works include Sons of the Desert (1933), Way Out West (1937), and Saps at Sea (1940). He died of a stroke on August 7, 1957, in Hollywood, California, USA.
