A French director, writer, actor, and producer born on October 19, 1862 in Besançon, Doubs, France. His brother, Louis, invented the projection device for cinema. He is known for Londres, alerte de pompiers: film Lumière n° 246, The Arrival of a Train, Belfast, alerte de pompiers: film Lumière n° 723, and Laveuses sur la rivière. He died on April 10, 1954 in Lyon, Rhone, France.
