An Irish film director, writer, and actor, born on October 9, 1979, in Boyle, Ireland, to a graphic designer father and a consultant and psychotherapist mother. He is the youngest of five siblings. O'Dowd studied politics and sociology at the University of Dublin. He debuted in 2007 and participated in several works such as Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children (2016), Bridesmaids (2011), The Sapphires (2012), and Calvary (2014).
