A British author and novelist, born on June 2, 1840. He presented many poems and short stories, as well as novels, including: Jude the Obscure, Tess of the d'Urbervilles and The Poor Man and the Lady. Among his works adapted for cinema are Far from the Madding Crowd and Tess. He died on January 11, 1928 in England.
