An Egyptian writer and art critic, born on July 26, 1941, in Sohag. He received a Bachelor’s degree from the High Cinema Institute, where he also did his postgraduate studies. He has served as Director General at the Television Sector. His most prominent book is Studies in Modern Yemeni Literature (1970). He has been a member of the Syndicate of Film Professions as well as the Syndicate of Theatrical Professions.
