He decided to enter acting through the New York State Theater in the late seventies of the twentieth century, after studying at The New York Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he presented several plays, such as Rebel Without a Cause, The Rainmaker, and Death of a Salesman, before heading to the film industry, so his cinematic debut was in Dances with Wolves (1990), with the director Kevin Costner.
