Ava DuVernay is an American producer, writer and director who was born on August 24, 1972 in California. DuVernay’s debut was in her 2008 documentary This Is the Life, followed by her first feature film I Will Follow (2010). She also directed Selma (2014) and A Wrinkle in Time (2018).
