An American writer, born in Pennsylvania, in the United States. After graduating from high school, he entered The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania but dropped out during his second year, before resuming his studies again and obtaining a master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard University. He later made use of his education in business and economics in writing his novels. He also wrote several artistic works, including Darker Than Amber (1970) and Cape Fear (1991).
