An American actor, born on September 26, 1901, in New York. He is famous for his roles in gangster films, most notably Scarface (1932). His other notable films include They Drive by Night (1940), Around the World in 80 Days (1956), and Some Like It Hot (1959). He died on November 24, 1980, Los Angeles, California, of emphysema.
